A graphic designer by profession, Melissa found that decorative painting and design would be her career after painting her first pieces of vintage furniture years ago. She resides in her native, Louisiana, where she finds creativity in the nature, architecture and culture of the area, while enjoying being close to her family and friends. The pepper mills are one favorite in a collection that has grown from furniture to chopping boards, crosses, mirrors and other gifts for the home and garden.They go along with her inherited sense that the kitchen is the "art and soul" of the home as taught to her by generations of italian women. Each 18" hardwood mill is handpainted in an "elegantly aged" style and signed by the artist. They are sealed with a satin finish, only needing to be wiped with a damp cloth.
